Give Me Hope Foundation, a non-profit organisation has partnered with the 2013 year group of Methodist University to reach out to the homeless and the needy during the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.
The Foundation has been providing food for the homeless and inmates in police cell’s three times a week for the period of the lockdown.
Wisdom Dordoe, the founder and CEO of Give Me Hope Foundation said, "It is our mandate to help the poor and less privilege of the nation to navigate through these difficult times and to assist the state."
"Government is doing a lot but its solitary efforts will not be enough hence it’s a call on everyone to join this fight to save our motherland".
Eric Norman Aponati, the team lead of the 2013 year group of Methodist University also expressed worry and concern for the vulnerable.
He explained that is the reason why they partnered with an NGO like Give Me Hope Foundation which has taken has been organising such activities for the poor and needy.
"This is a great initiative and we are privileged to partner in supporting and educate communities on the importance of keeping safe and strictly adhering to precautionary measures regularly and rigorously," he said.
Mr Dordoe extends his appreciation to Old Students of Methodist University, Microwatch, UNYAGH and all the donors and the team for supporting them to put a smile on the faces of the people in such a difficult time in the whole world.
He called on institutions, other NGOs, philanthropists, donors and advocates to partner them in supporting the homeless, poor and needy.
