A leading player in the field of herbal and alternative medicine practice in Ghana, Sheik Amin Bonsu, has called on regulatory authorities to act promptly in making decisions that will save Ghana and the rest of the world from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, players in the herbal and alternative health industry in Ghana especially, have been doing their best to develop herbal medicines to manage the virus and its symptoms.
According to Sheik Amin Bonsu, samples of these herbal and alternative medications have been submitted to the Ministry of Health and Noguchi Memorial Institute for medical research for further testing on their efficacy.
Indeed, recently, the Noguchi Memorial Institute confirmed that COA FS, a Ghanaian-manufactured immune support drug, might be a solution to the fight against Covid-19.
The Amen Scientific Herbal and Alternative Medical Hospital Chief Executive Officer, has revealed that he has successfully managed the conditions of some three persons in Ghana and abroad who were in self isolation and complained of symptoms of Covid-19.
Sheik Amin Bonsu who spoke in an exclusive interview with Adom News’ Ohemaa Sakyiwaa Akrofi, said management was done using Amen Chestico Capsules and Amen Fevermix Capsules.
He said the patients, upon using the capsules were relieved of the symptoms within two days of usage.
Even though Ghana’s case count currently within health authorities’ management, Sheik Bonsu says that there is an urgent need to investigate and promote the use of these medicines in the face of the pandemic.
He said there was the need to work together, expedite processes and help find urgent solutions in order to save Ghana and the world.
