Christian leaders joined President Nana Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House Thursday for a breakfast prayer meeting.
They prayed for the country and the medical staff on the frontline of the fight against the coronavirus.
A total of nine coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the country, an increase from an initial seven which was reported less than 24 hours ago.
The church leaders took turns to pray for a cure to the pandemic.
President Akufo-Addo expressed his appreciation to the public especially the religious bodies for helping to cope with the laid down regulations to prevent the spread of COVID 19.
He emphasised that these are not normal times and that the Christian community should support the country with prayers.
Citing James 5 vs 14-15, President Akufo-Addo noted that he believes that the Lord will heal the nation through the prayers of the clergy.
