Ghana coach Avram Grant has promised to win the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations for Ghana after losing this year’s title to Ivory Coast at the just ended AFCON tournament in Equatorial Guinea.
The Isreali trainer despite taking over the team less than 30 days to the tournament managed to reach the finals.
Avram and his team were handed a rousing welcome with thousands of supporters trooping to the Kotoka International Airport on Monday.
The 60 year old was grateful and stated that he will end the country’s long wait for a title in 2017
“For me it was a very good tournament because seeing the players come together and the performance they put up in such a short time, I think they really did well,” Grant said.
“I think we did better than in the past and we will do well in the future, I can promise you”, he added.
The former Chelsea coach said “we have laid a good foundation for the future and for me the future will be very bright and that is something I can promise you.”
