The father of Sulley Muntari has reacted angrily to the barrage of criticisms his son has received from Ghanaian football fans following his decision to sit out the Black Stars world cup qualifier against Mali.
Alhaji Sulley Muntari, a former coach, claims his family has been a target of unfair criticisms after Ghana beat Mali 2-0.
He was also incensed at some radio stations who played back the infamous claim by Muntari's mother saying:"No Muntari, No Black Stars."
Alhaji Muntari explained to Citi FM;"It is only natural for a parent to wish for the best for his child"
"All our motive and ambition is to see that the Black Stars succeed and if Black Stars succeed, it means the whole Ghana will be happy.
"Any criticism that is negative am not part of it. Almighty God will deal with the Black Stars and let them go through."
