Another shakeup in the Ghana Police Service has been effected, the second since Paul Tawiah Quaye assumed leadership of this foremost internal security organization barely a month ago.
Although such movements have now become standards of every leadership change, this particular one appears to have triggered muffled grumbling by some officers who think that the exercise has turned upside down the seniority table in the regimented service.
While it therefore favours some, others think undertaking such exercises calls for consideration of seniority so that no room is created for complaints.
The shakeup which takes effect from between today, 1st and 5th June 2009 will see 24 senior officers moving from one end of the country to another as in the case of DSP/Mr. Oduro Amaning.
He has by the new movement been transferred from his present location at the Police Service’s Workshop in Accra as the District Commander to Bunkpunrgu Yonyoo in the Northern Region.
