The Inspector-General of Police Paul Tawiah Quaye, has directed the interdiction of two officers of the service.
The Tesano District Police Commander and the Tesano Police Station Officer were interdicted following the death in custody of a 59-year-old man.
The man is said to have been picked up during a recent police swoop at the Tesano area for suspected criminals.
A brother of the man Kojo Ofori described the deceased as a victim of arbitrary arrest.
The deceased is said to have been detained although he had reported failing health.
Director of Police Public Relations, DSP Kwesi Ofori told Joy News investigation into the matter will be completed by June 3, 2009.
