The head pastor of Destiny Life International Church, the Reverend Sarfo Adu, has condemned some pastors for over-concentrating on prosperity messages at the expense of the core mandate of leading people to Christ.
He stated that negative lifestyles of today’s youth such as armed robbery, alcoholism and 'sakawa' demand urgent attention from the church to bring "these acts to the barest minimum" .
Rev. Adu made these remarks at the church's first anniversary celebration at the weekend which was climaxed with a number of activities, including a clean-up exercise, donations and counseling services.
“Pastors of today should change their messages since God is ready to bless his children abundantly," he said and appealed to the Christian community to unite to evangelise so as to win more souls for God's kingdom.”
Rev. Adu urged Christians to strive for excellence in every aspect of life and also assist in the socio-economic development of the country.
He further appealed to parents to desist from cursing their children at the least provocation, stressing that such utterances ultimately affect the children when they grow up.
A prophet of the church, Prophet Opoku Nsiah, urged the youth, especially ladies, not to concentrate on the degrading trend of fashion being exhibited in the society but concentrate on their studies.
