After holding the Grand Draw on January 9, 2015, in a ceremony officiated by the National Lotteries Authority, Universal Merchant Bank (UMB), has presented the grand prizes for its New You Promotion to two lucky winners.
The event marked the end of a successful three month campaign whereby UMB encouraged Ghanaians to bring a New You to life.
Over the course of the New You Promo, thirty lucky winners went away with Samsung Galaxy Tabs while the first and second prize winners went home with GHc100,000 and a Hyundai iX35 respectively.
The second prize of a Hyundai iX35 went to Charity Enyonam Attifu, a customer of the Tarkwa branch of UMB while the grand prize of GHc100,000 went to Joseph Boateng, a customer of the Bibiani branch of UMB.
Mr. Boateng, who was accompanied by family and friends, expressed his profound appreciation to UMB for their commitment to put the interests of their customers first and expressed how shocked and elated he was when he received the call informing him of the GHc100,000 prize.
He also commended the bank for keeping their word and conducting the promotion in a transparent manner.
The prizes were presented by UMB’s Chief Operating Officer, Stephen Antwi-Asimeng and Director of Finance and Administration, Samuel Acquaye.
Speaking at the event, the Director of Retail Banking of UMB, Lawrence Appiah-Baiden, stated that the promotion was a manifestation of UMB’s commitment to always put the interests of its customers first and to also position UMB as a partner in achieving the aspirations of its customers.
He said in this direction, the bank has recently opened two branches, one in East Legon on the Lagos Avenue and the second in Nungua, in Junction Mall.
Mr Appiah-Baiden added that UMB will be opening two more branches in the next few weeks in Osu and on the Spintex Road.
He also encouraged customers to look forward to many more exciting and innovative initiatives from UMB in 2015.
