A convict, serving a 10-year sentence, has run into another trouble for doing drugs in the prison.
Eight parcels of cannabis, concealed in a polythene bag, is said to have been found on the convict, Kwame Frimpong’s bed.
He was put before a Kumasi Circuit Court, presided over by Mrs. Afia Adu-Amankwaah, on Friday but his plea was not taken.
He was ordered to make his next appearance on Thursday, January 15.
Police Chief Inspector Comfort Kyei Baffour told the court that the substance was found by prison officers and when questioned, Frimpong denied ownership of the hard drug.
The matter was then reported to the Police for investigation after which he was charged with the offence.
Frimpong was sent to jail in August 2010 for possessing cannabis. He has already done four out of the 10 years.
