Miss Joyce Adeline Aryee, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Mines, has charged Ghanaian women to leave a legacy for posterity through hard work.
She explained that greatness is not achieved on a silver platter and urged them to strive to reach the higher levels of life.
Speaking at a breakfast meeting organised by the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) of the Grace Baptist Church in Kumasi at the weekend, Miss Aryee noted that, it was high time women stopped becoming a liability on society but started to have impact on the environment within which they lived.
Miss Aryee, who is also the President of the Light and Salt Ministry, advised Christian women to serve as lighthouses to those who were wayward.
She said as good managers in the home women could redirect the steps of the wayward to the right paths and likened it to a ship which lands safely because it is directed towards the lighthouse and free from destruction.
“Your work is not about seeking material things but about seeking the wellbeing of others to make the world a better place,” Miss Aryee emphasised.
The CEO admonished them to accomplish their purposes irrespective of the mishaps and uncontrollable problems that would come their way.
The Reverend Dr. Kojo Osei-Wusuh, Senior Pastor of the Grace Baptist Church, charged the women to learn to make sacrifices to be able to achieve their purposes in life.
Mrs. Margaret Acheampong, President of the WMU, encouraged them to fulfil their purposes for which they were created and find contentment in the process.
