The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is due to pay a courtesy call on President John Evans Atta-Mills at the Castle, Osu, on Monday.
The visit will be the first since President Mills assumed office on January 7, 2009 and Otumfuo is expected to congratulate the president on his election victory.
Sources close to the presidency say discussions between the king and the president will centre on fostering inter-ethnic cohesion.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu will also be officially informing the government of the programme for the celebration of his 10th anniversary since ascending the Golden Stool as Asante King.
