Injury-prone France-based striker Asamoah Gyan is among the players called for the World Cup qualifier against Benin this month.
Gyan, who has just recovered from an ankle injury, has been included in the 22-man squad for the clash the Squirrels in Kumasi on 29 March.
His club Rennes have confirmed to Ghanasoccernet that they have given the striker the permission to travel for the game.
The permission was granted even though Gyan has only just recovered from the ankle injury.
The striker has been sidelined for most of the season because of the knee injury but he has been included probably because of the lack of option for coach Milovan Rajevac.
Striker Junior Agogo has suffered a psychological blow since his problems with Zamalek and has failed to find the net in many matches for Ghana.
Prince Tagoe is the only striker firing for the Black Stars while other options like Qatar-based Opoku Agyemang and Sam Yeboah are also being considered.
