Funeralsinghana.com, a free online consumer information and education
resource on funeral planning, funeral financing, funeral products and
Services, online obituaries, videos, photos, and tit-bits has been launched in Accra.
According to a Director of CNJ Consult, developers of the website, Mr Nii Adjetey, the website is designed to help bereaved families by offering them an on-line service where they can place all their funeral arrangements and make them accessible people all over the world.
He stated that “Losing a loved one is a very painful and emotional
experience. All you want is to be left alone to mourn in peace. But there is so much to be decided and organized; therefore Funeralsinghana.com has been established to be your one-stop shop for all these information and education.”
Tributes, Memorials, Celebrations and any other information that will give the loved one a graceful remembrance and celebration can be posted on funeralsinghana.com. Funeral photos and videos can also be posted online for people to watch and download. Again, friends and family can pay their own respects on-line too.
Mr Adjetey noted that “all listings are now FREE; bereaved
families may however make DONATIONS towards the maintenance of the
website.”
He called on Companies dealing in funeral related products like the
insurance companies, funeral home operators, rental services and all other stakeholders to get on board and advertise their products for free during this promotional period.
Mr Duke Okine, a private businessman who chaired the function was commended the developers of the site for the foresight.
He noted that such innovative ideas were necessary to move the nation forward and called on the government to assist E-businesses so as to support and promote ICT development in private businesses in the country.
