Madam Ama Benyiwa-Doe, Central Regional Minister, has advised against anonymous letter writing, rumour mongering, back biting and other social vices that could affect the development of the region.
The Regional Minister said she would run an open and transparent administration, in which people could freely seek information, and accept constructive criticism that could help improve the living standards of the people.
In an interview in Cape Coast on Thursday, Madam Benyiwa-Doe said she would work in the interest of all the people and would not allow party affiliation to cloud her judgment.
She urged the people to support her in finding solutions to problems confronting the region, which is rated among the poorest in the country.
Madam Benyiwa-Doe announced that she would organize forums to find solutions to problems facing the region.
She said “I find it difficult to understand why despite our human resources, good educational facilities and natural resources such as good beaches and arable lands we are still rated among the poorest,” she stressed.
The Regional Minister praised the people of the region for the warm reception accorded her when she arrived in Cape Coast to assume office on Monday.
