Milan managed to squeeze past Cagliari at San Siro yesterday, but the Rossoneri supporters openly voiced their disappointment following another lacklustre performance.
“I can understand that seeing the same face for seven years can increase their disposition to criticism,” coach Carlo Ancelotti told Radio Anch’Io Sport this morning.
“I will accept their judgement, but I love this club as much as they do. It’s a strange time, but I don’t think it will go on for long.
“I guess it’s just down to the derby defeat and the gap to Inter. But now [there are] important games are coming up, starting with the UEFA Cup clash with Werder Bremen, and the fans’ support will be crucial.”
The ex-Juventus tactician admitted last year that he would be interested in having a coaching experience in Africa.
“I would love to be in charge of a national side at a World Cup,” he asserted. “There has been no contact with the Ivory Coast so far, but I would like to coach them.
“My idea is to prepare and lead a national side to a World Cup, possibly during the off-season. [Arrigo] Sacchi is ready to be my assistant. But I have no intention of leaving Italy and move abroad to train a national team on a full-time basis.”
