The Executive Director of the Private Enterprise Foundation, Dr Boeh-Ocansey has called on the government of President John Evans Atta Mills to support the export of services from the country.
Dr Boeh-Ocansey noted that Ghana stands to gain immensely from the service export since other countries are benefiting from it.
He made the call at the graduation ceremony for 250 students of the Channels of Blessing Certified Top Global Worker programme over the weekend.
Graduates of the programme were taken through various aspects of professional behaviour appropriate for the international job market.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of Channels of Blessing, Princess Asie Ocansey, the organization has an understanding with a number of firms abroad to provide them with a steady supply of workers.
An elite corp of graduates, the Prosperity corps were introduced to the gathering as graduates who have received Canadian visas and were preparing to travel abroad under the service export arrangement Channels of Blessings and SOS Labour, Ghana has with firms abroad.
In a speech read on his behalf by the new Minister of Education, Alex Tetteh Enyo, the Vice President John Mahama commended Channels of Blessing for the Certified Top Global Worker programme and the benefits Ghanaian workers stand to make from it.
