Ghanaian striker Eric Bekoe scored his first Egyptian League goal in Petrojet's 3-1 victory over El Gaish in Suez on Friday with Ernest Papa Arko also on target for the losing side.
Bekoe's Petrojet came from behind to win and dislodged Al Ahli at the summit of the table but they could move back if they beat Masri on Saturday.
The 22-year-old former Asante Kotoko striker handed Petrojet the lead with the second goal after 30 minutes.
He capitalized on a mis-timed jump by Gaish keeper Wael Khalifa to head home Osama Hassan's pinpoint left-wing cross.
Farouk, who came on as a second-half substitute, sealed the victory in the 52nd minute, thanks to another assist from Hamdi.
Hamdi was released by Ali's deft pass before sending in a low cross that eluded Khalifa and found former Ahli striker Farouk, who tapped in into an empty net.
Bekoe's compatriot Ernest Papa Arko put the visitors in front in the first minute but Hassan Gomaa equalized on the 15th minute mark.
