Isaac Opeele Boateng recorded his first win as interim head coach of Asante Kotoko in a 2-1 victory over his former side, Tema Youth, at the Ohene Djan Stadium on Thursday.
Two second half goals from Daniel Nii Adjei and Stephen Manu gave Kotoko the lead.
Winger Ekow Benson pulled one back from a free-kick he converted perfectly.
Kotoko moved to second place on the league, seven points behind leaders Hearts of Oak.
