Heartland's Ghanaian defender Aziz Ansah says he was surprised by the way his side eased to a 4-0 win over Monrovia Black Stars in the first leg of their CAF Champions League first round tie on Sunday in Owerri.
"I know Liberan teams and they are usually very good so I expected a more difficult game from them," Ansah told KickOffNigeria.com after the game.
The former Asante Kotoko star was one of the scorers, weighing in with the second on 24 minutes, after ThankGod Ike had got the hosts off to a flyer with a goal inside the opening minute.
Two more goals in the second half, from Stanley Okoro on 66 minutes and Owusu Addae with 2 minutes of time left, secured a more than comfortable victory for Heartland.
