FT: Ghana 3-1 Guinea

Its all over at the Tamale Sports Stadium with the Stars grounding a crucial victory at home and getting closer to getting a place at next year's nations cup.

90+4 Agyemang Badu seals victory for the Black Stars and its substitute Emmanuel Agyemang Badu who makes it three for the Stars. A sweet victory for the Ghana side.

87 Goal keeper Stephen Adams is down. Appears to have taken a knock. 

85 Again the Guineans come close to scoring. A sweet cross from the right and a header right in the six yard box but Adams saves the situation.

80 Ghana left off the hook as the Guineans miss a glorious opportunity to draw level. A cross is whipped from the right and totally unmarked, the Guinean striker taps from close range. The ball whisks just wide.

74 Wakasu comes in for hardworking Solomon Asante.

72 The visitors have turned the heat on the Ghana side in a desperate search for the equaliser. 

66 Ghana make a tactical switch and its Jordan Ayew who is coming out for Edwin Gyima. A combative midfielder in for a striker. 

62 Rabiu Mohammed should have increased the tally for Ghana after a great run but his feeble left shot is easily saved.

60 Gyan's diving header from close range parried for a corner. A good instictive save by the Guinean goal keeper.

54 Ghana win a penalty and its Asamoah Gyan whose goal bound shot hits the elbow of the Guinean defender. Referee points to the spot. Andre Ayew steps up to take the kick. Easy does it. It's a goal!!!!!! Ghana restore lead.

51 Guinea get a free kick at an advantageous area similar to what Jordan missed some few minutes ago and the visitors all kicks it wide.

47 Ghana win a free kick just at the edge of the 18 yard box after Jordan is brought down. Kick taken and wasted.

46 The second half is underway and within minutes it is Ghana who blow an opportunity. Baba Rahman tries a little curly shot after getting a little flick from Dede. It takes a ricochet for a corner. Corner taken and wasted.

Its half time now.

45 Dede Ayew fends off a challenge from two Guinean defenders and strikes low shot which whisks just wide. Referee adjudges that as corner with the Stars wasting the opportunity.

41 Its the Guineans now who have been forced to defend as the Stars take as many as three corner kicks in two minutes. Nothing has come out of that. 

39 Ghana respond and it Jordan Ayew who wins a free kick at an advantageous area. Kick taken and wasted.

36  Guinea put the Ghana defence on duty again with great runs from the flanks but fail to score.

33 Guinea come back in great fashion through a free kick taken just at the edge of the box. Mohammed bounced the ball on the ground to beat an oncoming Adam. 1-1 it is.  GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

25 Ghana again blow yet another opportunity as Gyan misses a header by inches. Harrison Afful whips in a superb cross but Gyan fails to connect.

25 Jordan Ayew mises from close range after being played through by Kwadwo Asamoah. Great chance gone abegging. 

23 Ghana misses an opportunity to increase the tally after a goal mouth melee. The visistors desperately clear their lines.

14 Goal!!!!!!! and its Gyan who slots in from close range. Great work done by Solomon Asante who searches for Jordan Ayew and the Socheau striker selflessly found Gyan who connected with his left. Ghana are up.

09 Ghana win a corner after a great Jordan Ayew cross is deflected. Corner taken straight into the arms of the Guinea goal keeper and the visitors quickly turn defence into attack but the final strike goes straight into the arms of Stephen Adama in post for Ghana.

06 Guinea again threaten the Ghana goal and win a corner which is taken poorly.

06 Guinea appeal for a penalty after their striker was shoved off the ball in the vital area as referee waves play on. 

05 Rabiu Mohammed fires a thunderbolt from 25 yards after beating his marker in the first Black Stars attempt at goal.

The two teams are ready for the game having already taken their respective national anthems and other opening pleasantries.

It's a return leg of a crucial Nations Cup qualifier between Ghana and Guinea at the Tamale Sports Stadium in Ghana. The first leg ended 1-1 in Morocco with both sides itching to have the last laugh in a game that will crucially determine who qualifies from the group to Morocco 2015.
