Ghana striker Jordan Ayew is calling for more investments aimed at promoting the local game.
Ayew is convinced the quality of the league is poor but with better players.
The France based player who witnessed the clash between "Hearts of Oak" and "Asante Kotoko" in the Super clash friendly at the Accra stadium on Sunday, believes the local league can rival the South African and other top leagues in Africa if more attention is given to the development of the local league.
“It is always good to get fans into the stadium and I think that is what Ghana football at this moment is lacking,” Jordan told Joy Sports.
“People don’t want to go to the stadium but i think football is the number one sport in Ghana so we have to try and back up the league because the league is very poor but we have quality players.
“We have to invest more so that the league can get to the South African, Moroccan or the Algerian league.
