The National Media Commission has directed the Daily Graphic Newspaper to apologise to the Editor of the Gye Nyame Concord, Alfred Ogbamey for publishing material that impugned his personality.
In a statement issued in Accra, the NMC says it found a complaint by Mr. Ogbamey justified after examining the available evidence.
The statement signed by NMC Chairman Paul Adu-Gyamfi, says that part of the publication in the Daily Graphic was injurious to the image of Mr. Ogbamey.
The December 7 edition of the Graphic published an advertiser's announcement from the Director General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority in response to some publications in the Gye Nyame Concord newspapers.
