Ugandan footballer Fahad Musana breathed his last in a Bombo Town makeshift video hall during the English Premier league fixture between Manchester City and Chelsea on Sunday.
According to kawowo.com, Musana 24, collapsed immediately after Frank Lampard scored against former club in the match that ended 1-1. Being a staunch Chelsea die-hard, it is believed shock might have led to his heart failure and breathing complications.
Musana, who was marking his second season with army side, Simba FC, had featured in the opening game of his team's 1-0 Uganda Premier League victory over Entebbe at Nakivubo Stadium on Saturday.
"He even trained with us at Bombo military Baracks stadium in the morning of the fateful incident and completed the session well." a seeming shocked Fred Kajoba, his coach at Simba FC said.
According to a close associate, also a teammate (Gerald Bagoole), Musana did not complain of any illness even by the time he entered the video hall to watch his favorite Chelsea football club.
"We trained with him on Sunday morning, had lunch together. When the premier league matches commenced, he went to watch from near his residence (near Namaliga - Don Bosco) and I also went to a different video hall", Bagoole, totally in shock narrated.
Bagoole, scorer of Simba's winning penalty over Entebbe adds, Musana successfully watched the Manchester - Leicester city game, and was keen to watch the second game (Chelsea Vs Manchester City).
"He has been a passionate fan of Chelsea and would do anything for the club, apart form gambling", Bagoole, who distances the deceased from betting.
During the match which Chelsea took the lead, Bagoole looked lively and jovial, until when Frank Lampard equalized for the Blues. At that moment (of Frank Lampard's goal), Musana fainted and everyone in the hall got concerned.
He was offered fresh air but all efforts were in vain as he had long died even before being taken to the nearby Bombo Military hospital.
