Stoke striker Ricardo Fuller said Fulham full-back John Pantsil's actions in Saturday's goalless draw at the Britannia Stadium were "disgraceful".
Pantsil threw himself to the ground after an altercation between the two where little contact seemed to be made.
Fuller told BBC Radio Stoke: "It's a disgrace - for footballers to do that is not right.
"But no-one is perfect and nothing bad came of it. It was done in the heat of the moment."
Fuller added that he felt the behaviour of the Ghana international was disrespectful to all footballers.
"It should never have happened, it is disrespectful," he added.
"Players should take it upon themselves no to do an injustice to other players, especially in that manner.
"When you try and make something out of nothing it is an embarrassment."
