Pedu St Peter’s Seminary whipped Cape Coast Radio Presenters 5-2 in a special soccer match played at the Robert Mensah sports stadium in Cape Coast.
The match was played as part of activities to commemorate the 50th Independence anniversary celebrations.
The Seminarians right from the kick off took absolute control of the game and banged in three quick goals through Francis Ward, Augustine Owusu and Abel Kabiri in the 10th, 25th and 28th minutes but the Presenters managed to pull a goal back before the end of the first half through Owusu Boateng.
The Seminarians again resumed the second half full of fight and went ahead to score two more rapid goals through Samuel Siaw and the Presenters managed a face-saving goal in the 85th minute to bring the final scores to 5-2.
