Miss Ghana 2008 Mawuse Appea on Tuesday called on the Minister of Health, Major Courage Quashigah (Rtd) to discuss raising awareness on Hepatitis B as she stepped up her campaign against the disease.
Ms Ghana told the Minister about the challenges of the disease saying her campaign would target students of second cycle schools and those who tested negative would vaccinated.
The Minister, advised Mawuse Appea to make her message simple for her target group to understand and not to scare them.
He told her to advise the students to eat good food, which would make their immune system strong to prevent diseases.
The minister said Ghanaians ate chickens, which had been in cold stores for 11 years, which was very harmful to their heath.
He again advised Ghanaians to eat healthy foods to prevent diseases such as Hepatitis B.
