The Duke of Kent, Prince Edward George Nicholas Patrick has unveiled a plaque for the construction of a 16 billion-cedi lecture and administrative complex block at the Armed Forces Staff College in Accra.
The British government is footing 10.8 billion cedis of the project cost which is expected to be completed in May this year.
The block will also provide a 40-room accommodation for junior officers of the staff college.
The Duke who represented the Queen of England at the independence anniversary celebrations also inspected facilities and planted trees at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre in Teshie.
Minister for Defence Dr Addo Kufuor thanked the British government for its support to improve training in the country.
