A rare opportunity has presented itself for ex-Youth and Sports Minister Elvis Afriyie- Ankrah to tell his side of the story as regards the Brazil 2014 World Cup.

He will appear before the three-member Commission comprising Justice Senyo Dzamefe, Kofi Anokye Owusu Darko and Moses Foh-Amoaning to provide answers to the many questions regarding what really hap­pened during the Mundial.

Today's sitting is the former Deputy Local Government Minister's second official public interview after his appearance on Metro TV's Good-Evening Ghaana-programme following the Brazil debacle.

He is likely to answer questions on the for­mation of Committees-Tourism/ Culture, Pro­tocol, Marketing, Events/Logistics, Media - player/official bonuses as well as the infa­mous lifting of $3m by a private jet and the player-official brawl.

Ghana, after two successive brilliant World Cup appearances in Germany and Brazil, were expected to move a notch higher but failed woefully in their third streak appearance.

And for the first time in the soccer festival, Ghana failed to record a a win, losing two games to USA and Portugal, and drawing one against eventual winners Germany.

Team Ghana was smeared with various degrees of scandal necessitating the formation of the Commission of Inquiry.

Already, bodies like the Ministry of Finance, Bank of Ghana, Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS) have appeared before the Commission at the Media Centre of the Accra Stadium.

GFA, contracted Travel and Tour opera­tors and other individuals would be invited to provide answers as the hearing continues.
