The government has secured a 13.3 million-Euro loan facility to solve the perennial water supply of Kasoa and its environs.
Mr Oppey Abbey, Member of Parliament for Awutu-Senya, speaking at separate rallies at Kasoa and Awutu-Bawjiase in the Central Region said the laying of pipelines from Agona Kwanyako to Kasoa would commence next month.
He explained that this was to ease pressure on the Weija Water Head Works, which also supplies parts of Accra.
The MP, who is the Parliamentary Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) said 22 communities in the constituency were also to be connected to the national electricity grid very soon to promote small-scale industries and to improve the living conditions of the people.
Mr Oppey Abbey said low-tension electricity poles with fittings had already been erected and urged the people to utilize the power to be provided for profitable use.
Plans are far advance for the construction of roads in the area to facilitate the evacuation of foodstuff and other farm produce to marketing centres.
The MP stated that over 300 students were enjoying scholarships to further their education at the Senior High school and tertiary levels from his share of the Common Fund.
"Apart from education, health and other social amenities had attracted assistance from my share of the Common Fund and other interventions", the MP said.
He called on the electorate in the constituency to vote for Nana Akufo-Addo, the Presidential Candidate of the NPP for the party to continue the good governance of the country and the prudent management of the economy to move Ghana forward.
The MP stated that the NPP under the leadership of President J.A Kufuor had kept faith with the people in the areas of education, water, health, sanitation, energy, human rights and poverty reduction.
He appealed to supporters and members of the party to intensify their campaign to win over more people.
