The protracted Akyem Kotoku chieftaincy dispute has reared its ugly head at Akyem Oda when some young men went on rampage and broke the car windscreen of Oseadeeyor Dr Frempong Manso 1V, the Omanhene.
The youth suspected to have come from the Attafuah family besieged the palace and threw stones and in the process damaged his car.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Sampson Agbeko, the Akyem Oda Divisional Police Crime Officer said that the chief who arrived from the US at the weekend paid a courtesy call on Frank Kwame Busumtwi, the Birim South District Chief Executive on Tuesday.
He said Oseadeeyor Dr Frempong Manso was having a meeting with his sub chiefs in the palace when the stone throwing youth attacked them.
Mr Agbeko said the police were yet to make any arrests and that the case was under investigations.
