Two brothers are said to be in a fierce contest for the same seat to represent their constituency in Parliament in the December 7 poll.
The seat in contention is the Juabeso constituency seat in the Western Region is currently being held by the elder of the two, Sampson Ahi.
Mr Ahi who was dealt a thudding slap in the Chamber of Parliament by a colleague MP in July last year won the seat in 2004 on the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress.
Speaking to Joy News, the MP said his brother who contests the seat on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is no match for him, rather, he sees the CPP candidate as his main contender.
“My brother is no match at all, he’s just making something just to entertain himself,” he said.
Mr told Joy News the contest is one of experience in which his brother cannot compete.
“He hasn’t got the experience that I have. Much to do with that what I have done for the people of Juabeso he hasn’t done even one per cent; they have seen what I have done and they’ve realised what I can do for them,” Mr Ahi stated.
He however said he does not see his brother as an enemy although the two contesting on different tickets.
Meanwhile, the brother of the incumbent MP John Ahi said he’s been driven to contest the seat because the sitting MP has in the last four years done nothing to help develop the constituency.
“If you compare other constituencies in terms of development as against Juabeso we are lacking behind,” he stated.
