The Financial Services Subsidiary of the State Insurance Company, SICFSL has been admitted to the Ghana Stock Exchange as a licensed-dealing member.
The issuance of the license which brings to 16 the number brokerage houses trading would allow SIC Financial Services or SICFSL to act as a broker on the Ghana Stock Exchange.
Some analysts consider the number of trading houses to be too many for the Ghanaian bourse but the Managing Director of SICFSL, George Mensah believes the addition would enhance the activities of the Accra bourse.
He said the increase in number would also offer investors the option to engage the services of brokerage companies that can meet their expectations.
