Ms Ann Veneman, Executive Director of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), would meet Ghanaian journalists on Wednesday to brief them on activities of the organisation in Ghana among other things.
Ms Veneman would be in the country to participate in the High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness from the September 2 to 4.
Mrs Sandra Fiamanya, Media Relations Official at UNICEF, Ghana office, who had a pre-meeting with journalists in Accra said UNICEF was interested in knowing questions that bothered Ghanaian journalists, especially on children.
UNICEF is involved in a lot of activities in Ghana to ensure that children have a right to education and good health, and also to create a protective environment for children especially in emergencies.
Ms Fiamanya commenting about Ms Veneman said: "Her vision at UNICEF includes instilling a 'sense of urgency' about the Millennium Development Goals and their 2015 deadline as well as ensuring that the agency's policies and programmes are oriented around achieving them."
