Anxiety and jostling for the vice presidential position of the New Patriotic Party will continue at least for two more days.
The much anticipated National Executive Council Meeting under which the vice presidential candidate was to be selected has been postponed till Thursday.
This was confirmed by the Chairman of party Mr. Peter Mac Manu in an interview with citi Fm on Tuesday.
"Preparations to name the candidate it still on course, but the meeting has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances" he said
The Chairman however denied meeting Dr. Mahamadu Bawomia, Dr. Ibn Chambas and Alhaji Adams Zakaria for interview, as speculated by the media.
He said the Presidential candidate of the party Nana Akufo Addo will announce his choice of candidate on Thursday, after thorough consultations with the party hierarchy.
The selected candidate will then be out doored on Sunday at a National Conference at the Takoradi Polytechnic park during a mammoth rally, he confirmed.
