The poll results suggesting that the flag-bearer the NPP was leading in this year’s elections was limited to only seven regions. The poll conducted by the Danquah Institute, a political think-tank says Nana Akufo-Addo will win the December elections by 52 per cent. According to the results of the poll, the main opposition National Democratic Congress will obtain 25 per cent of votes if elections were conducted on August 11, 2008. The Executivce Director of the Institute, Gabby Asare Otchere Darko however said the poll excluded the three northern regions. He told Joy FM’s Super Morning Show host, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah that some “extensive work was being done in those regions”. The Communication Director of Prof. Mills’ campaign, Koku Anyidoho, however, rubbished the results of the opinion poll. He said the Danquah Institute could not be trusted to conduct an unbiased poll. According to him, the grounds were fertile for the NDC to win the elections.
