Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan is close to clinching a deal with Blackburn Rovers after impressing coach Paul Ince.
The 22-year-old is on a two-week trial with the English Premier League side but has put in a fantastic performance after just four days.
Blackburn chairman John Williams says Ince is considering an offer for Annan because of his output.
"Anthony has done very well," Williams told the Lancashire Telegraph.
"I don't think we can be any more positive on how well he's done.
"He's a regular Ghanaian international and Paul really likes what he sees in him."
Blackburn must make a decision about Annan by next week and will face some difficulty in getting a work permit for the midfielder.
Annan has not played 75% of Ghana's international A matches in the past two years, a requirement for an automatic UK work permit.
He can gain the permit under the special talent scheme under the UK's immigration rules.
