The Common wealth Human Right Initiative (CHRI) say they will file a complaint to the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice against the military over unresolved military brutalities in the country.
The human right group claim the military has with impunity infringed on the rights of civilians for far too long.
The group are even more incensed with the recent alleged human right abuses by the military in which commercial drivers were made to kiss and fondle dead bodies at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra, for various traffic offenses.
Speaking to Joy News, the head of the CHRI, Nana Oye Lithur, recounted the case of Issa Mobila , as well as the Takoradi, Tamale, and Nkwanta cases, where the military were alleged to have abused the rights of civilians.
The complaint she said would compel CHRAJ to investigate these abuses and recommend appropriate solutions to them.
This will also be a source of education to the military on their role in the democratic dispensation, she added.
The Commonwealth Human Right Initiative has been at the fore front in fighting for the rights of women groups as well as the under privileged in the society.
