Social media last Saturday night, speculated on the three Black Star players likely to be dropped from Ghana's World Cup squad.
Social media was buzzing with criticism of performances from Samuel Inkoom, Albert Adomah and Jerry Akaminko.
The wave of opinionated analysis flooded facebook after a friendly match against Holland in which Ghana lost 1- 0. The Black Star's performance was generally adjudged disappointing.
Alan Dodds wrote "ӻ#Inkoom ӻ#Adomah ӻ#Jordan trending as the three players to be left out for Brazil. But ӻ#Akaminko might just save one of these guys."
Quesie Boate wrote "Jerry Akiminko has made Kwasi Appiahs job very easy. Sorry man, Albert Adoma David Accam n Jerry Akaminko"
"' 'Abigail' adoma' has justified his exclusion from the final 23" -Nkumi Richard
Enoch Sarpong went further, "A tale of two halfs..Poor performance in the first half and a much improved performance when KP,Dede Ayew,Acquah and Afful stepped on the pitch. Kwesi Appiah will only suceed if he gets his selection right.Rabiou, Essien and Schollop have no business in our starting line up"
Meanwhile British online news, Dailymail.co.uk, reported the encounter full of praise of Manchester United forward, Van Persie who consigned Ghana to defeat barely five minutes into the game.
"Robin van Persie continued his fine form ahead of the World Cup by scoring the winner as Holland beat Ghana in their penultimate warm-up friendly in Rotterdam.
The Manchester United striker settled a contest that never truly ignited when he tapped in after five minutes following quick-thinking from Wesley Sneijder to square the ball with the goalkeeper closing in.
Louis van Gaal’s team dominated possession from start to finish and would have settled the contest long before half-time if Arjen Robben had not been wasteful in front of goal.
Ghana, meanwhile, were desperately disappointing and failed to create a meaningful chance all night. This was as comfortable as one-nil wins come and they seriously need some impetus before tackling a World Cup group that contains Portugal and Germany".
Ghana Coach Kwasi Appiah is expected to name his final 23-man squad after the Netherlands game.
Black Stars starting XI
Adam Kwarasey, Samuel Inkoom, Jeffrey Schlupp, Rashid Sumaila, Jerry Akaminko, Rabiu Mohammed, Albert Adomah, Michael Essien, Jordan Ayew, Christian Atsu, Kwadwo Asamoah.
