The National Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress Ama Benyiwa Doe, says Ghana is ready for a female president.
She was speaking on Ekosi Sen a programme on Asempa FM in Accra on Monday.
According to her, women are more than capable to handle the seat of government and should be given the opportunity.
She insisted that women have gained the requisite knowledge and experience to be able to deliver the nation when given the nod as President.
She however believes that not all women are cut out for that position.
When asked whether or not Hajia Alima was competent enough to be the Vice President of Ghana, under the NPP regime, the NDC Women’s Organiser replied not all women can be given the nod for such an assignment, but said the NDC is ready to do a fair assessment and evaluation of any woman candidate put forward by any of the parties.
