Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, flagbearer of New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Tuesday observed that the Volta Region was becoming very "fertile" for the party ahead of elections 2008.
He said people in the Region were beginning to listen to the messages of NPP, a sign of good things for the party in the forthcoming general elections.
Nana Akufo-Addo made the observation when he interacted with newsmen after addressing a rally at Kadjebi to end a four-day campaign tour of the northern part of the Region.
The NPP flagbearer said he was encouraged by the response of people in the Region to the party and urged them to translate the positive response into votes in elections 2008.
He predicted a "sweet victory" for the NPP and asked people in the Volta Region to be part of that victory.
Nana Akufo-Addo said an NPP government in 2009 would build a "New Ghana" where social injustice would be alienated creating the opportunity for all to develop their talents to the fullest.
He introduced Mr Adjei Ntim, Kadjebi District Chief Executive as the NPP aspiring Member of Parliament for Akan Constituency and urged the people to vote for him for accelerated development in the constituency.
Okyeame Panyin Kudjo, on behalf of Kadjebi Traditional Area commended government for the various development projects in the area.
He commended Mr Ntim, for spearheading development in the district and pledged their preparedness to support government.
Nana Akufo-Addo also interacted with students and teachers of Ntroboman Senior High School in Nkwanta South District and pledged to help the school secure a bus.
