The Ghanaian athletes made it a one, two finish in the 800m event at the JUCO Championship.
Ghanaian middle distance runners Agnes Abu and Lydia Mato clinched first and second place repectively in the 800m event in day 3 of the JUCO Outdoor Championship in the US.
The Championship is being held at the Riggs Stadium in Arizona, with the Ghanaians who are from the Barton County College scoring high marks.
Abu won the race with a time of 4:39.62, and was followed closely by Mato who finished in a time of 4:41.45.
Mato had already won gold in the 10,000m prior to the race, while Heptathlete Elizabeth Dadzie, won the open Long jump and the heptathlon events.
This brings Ghana's gold medal haul to four gold medals so far at the JUCO.
