Sekondi Hasaacas thrashed visiting Dansoman-based Liberty Professionals 3-1 in their Onetouch Premier League match played at the Sekondi Gyandu Park on Sunday.
Hasaacas stretched Liberty with sharp passes and aggressive moves soon after kick-off but found it difficult to put the visitors on the carpet.
They continued to ride high but had to wait until the 12th minute when Isaac Donkoh blasted a shot into the net of Liberty to register the first goal.
Liberty did not give up hope and pressed for an equaliser.
In the 22nd minute, Hasaacas were awarded a penalty and Samuel Ellis beautifully converted for the second goal.
Liberty who seemed unperturbed renewed their attacking machinery in an effort to square up the score before the end of the first half but their attacks proved abortive.
In the 46th minute, Daniel Acquaye of Hasaacas however headed the ball into his own net to bring the scores to 2-1.
In the 88th minute, Hasaacas’ Daniel Acquaye converted a free kick to bring the final scores to 3-1 in favour of Hasaacas.
At the Sunyani Coronation Park, Asante Kotoko came from a goal down to beat city-rivals King Faisal by 3:1. Ashgold also managed a 2:1 home win over All Blacks while at Swedru, Feyenoord pipped Power FC by 2:1.
