Nana Appiah Zakaria, chief of Atia in Techiman Municipality, has advised politicians to conduct themselves well and avoid insults and acrimonious pronouncements during their electioneering campaigns.
He told the GNA in an interview that as potential leaders they needed to be wary of the language they used when they mount political platforms because certain statements they would make could derail the absolute peace in the country.
Nana Appiah Zakaria appealed to political leaders to set good examples for their supporters and followers to follow to ensure incident free election in December.
He suggested to the Electoral Commission to re-demarcate
Techiman South constituency into Techiman South and Techiman Central constituencies to speed up development.
Nana Appiah Zakaria also suggested that the constitution should be amended for elections to be held every six years because the current four-year term of government is inadequate for any meaningful planning and execution of development projects.
