Mr. Dwumah Odoom, Deputy Sector Minister, who disclosed this to newsmen in Sunyani after he commissioned streetlight and meat and fish shops constructed by the municipal assembly said the projects would start this year.

He advised municipal and district assemblies to find other means to generate revenues to supplement the assembly common fund towards development. Mr. Kwame Twumasi-Awuah, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) appealed to the public to provide information to help arrest people who steal electrical cables.
While urging the market women to ensure environmental cleanliness, Mr. Twumasi-Awuah admonished them to be honoured in their tax obligation to enable the assembly to provide their needed facilities.
The MCE later took round the Deputy Sector Minister to inspect the ongoing 640 million cedis 12 unit classroom blocks construction for the local stadium primary school and a 600-million cedi municipal assembly guest house.
