Visiting Elmina Coconut Grooves Sharks sent supporters of Cape Coast Venomous Vipers home highly disappointed when their darling club was trounced 5-1 at home in their Division One League match played at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Coconut Grooves parading players with youthful exuberance out played Vipers and led 2-0 at half time from goals by Isaac Hinson and Charles Dadson.
The visitors continued to dictate the pace of the game in the second half and went ahead to register the third goal in the 55th minute through Isaac Hinson.
Vipers managed to reduce the tally through a spot kick in the 60th minute taken by outside left, Aminu Bukari.
Inspired by the goal, Vipers from then forced Coconut Grooves to play in their own half but their hopes of pulling even were shattered when Coconut Grooves netted two quick goals through midfielder, Isaac Quainoo to bring the full time scores to 5-1 in their favour.
Elsewhere, Ebusua Dwarfs spanked Windy Professional 3-1, with Eleven Wise losing 1-2 to Samartex while Metro Stars beat Feyenoored 2-1.
