The Western Regional Branch of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has condemned the murder of Samuel Ennin, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the GJA, last Friday.
A statement issued by the regional branch and signed by the regional Chairman, George Naykene, said members of the association were saddened and surprised at the murder of Mr. Ennin.
It appealed to the Ghana Police Service to put its investigative machinery into action and unearth the real motive behind the killing and bring the perpetrators to book.
The statement urged journalists not to allow the incident to intimidate them but should be resolute, fearless and expose crime and wrong doing in society for the good of the country.
