Glo Mobile Ghana, a subsidiary of Globacom, Africa’s indigenous Telecommunications Company has announced a sponsorship package for a contingent of its network to watch and cheer Ghana at the World Cup.
Launching the promotion at its offices at Ring Road Central in Accra, the company announced a unique package for pre-paid customers on the network, saying that all subscribers stand an opportunity of benefitting from this promo.
A total of 25 Ghanaians comprising 22 subscribers and three dealers would be sponsored in the all expense paid trip to Brazil.
This is the second of such sponsorship deal to fulfill the passion of soccer fans in the country.
Last year, the company sponsored a number of its trade dealers from Ghana, Nigeria and the Benin Republic on a trip of a lifetime to Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United Football Club in England.
Launching the promo, Mr Akeem Kazeem, Head of Business at Glo Mobile Ghana said the sponsor package was borne out of the need to fulfill the passion of its subscribers to see and experience soccer at the highest level.
Christened “Let’s Go to Brazil” Promo, prepaid customers on Glo Mobile who cumulatively recharge their lines with a minimum of 15 GHC talk time from now till the end of May, may stand a very good chance of being selected for the all expenses paid trip to Brazil.
Additionally, in the event that a customer wins a place to go to Brazil but is unable to do so due to visa and passport issues, such a subscriber will still receive a flat take home sum of five thousand Ghana Cedis each (GHC 5,000.00)
