Three new Chief Executives who were nominated by the President in December last year and recently endorsed by their respective District Assemblies in the Upper West Region were on Wednesday sworn in at Wa by Mr George Hikah Benson, the Regional Minster.
They are Mr Abdul-Azziz Gado Mohammed, who takes over as Wa Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Isaac Alitu, Wa East District Chief Executive and Mr Salifu Baluwie for Sissala West.
They took the oaths of secrecy, allegiance and official oath, which were all administered by the Regional Minister at a brief ceremony held at the Regional Coordinating Council.
Mr Benson urged them to endeavour to live above reproach and let their actions portray them as people who have been appointed to serve and not behave as Lords.
He reminded them that they were being called to serve in their capacities at a time when the President was on the last lap of his term of office and they should therefore ensure that they deliver on his promises to enable him to leave behind a memorable legacy.
On behalf of his colleagues, Mr Mohammed thanked the President for appointing them and assured him and their constituents that they would not do anything that would undermine the positive change that has been progressively pursued by the President.
