Alhaji Abubakar Siddique Boniface, Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing has cautioned Muslims to be wary of issues that divide their ranks and rather strive for unity.
He said because they are not united on social life and certain religious doctrines, they are unable to “combine forces at certain levels to fight a common purpose”.
He said this must be a source of worry to all Muslims, since the religion stood for peace and unity.
Alhaji Abubakar Saddique gave the advice at the launch of two books titled “The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) Speaks” and a self development book “How Do I Develop My Self” authored by Sheikh Ishaak Ibrahim Nuamah, an Islamic scholar in Kumasi.
The Minister described the author, who has already authored 11 books, as a role model, an embodiment who needed nothing from Muslims but “to get them closer to God through education”.
He said “people especially Muslims, should not recognize writers who through their imagination and thoughts create problems, but rather support authors, who write to convert people”.
Alhaji Abubakar Saddique stressed the need for Muslims to lead good moral, social and religious lives so that they would be seen as devout followers of God, which could attract non-Muslims to Islam.
The author of the books, Sheikh Nuamah, who is also a presenter of an Islamic programme “Focus” on “Metro. T.V”, said, his books have been received well by the reading public, because issues raised in them cut across all levels of learning.
Sheikh Muhammad Kaamil, Proprietor and Manager of Sakafiyya Senior High School in Kumasi commended the author for his efforts and stressed that education formed an integral part of human development and called on Muslims to educate themselves and their children through reading.
Alhaji Muhammad B. Joseph, a writer and a businessman, who reviewed the books, noted that the author did well by writing in English because most Muslims were deficient with the Arabic language.
The first two copies of the books were auctioned at GH¢300.
